Look at all those great costumes!

I just wanted to a moment and personally share a picture of our Halloween Party we had with our kids and many neighborhood friends. My 5 year old, Amelia (the pink princess on the front row), is the reason Cuddoozle Nursing Pillow was created. I am on the back row holding my 2-1/2 year old, Noella (aka. The ”Runaway Bride”).  What a wonderful time in ones life to feel so free to run around, act silly, dress up in costumes without a care in the world, eat lots of yummy candy (once a year is OK) and carve jack-o-lanterns at school and home. I hope you and yours enjoyed this fun holiday together and have lots of visuals to remember it by. As well, I would also like to share my wish that we all remember what the upcoming Thanksgiving Holiday stands for. Please give thanks to all those that are special to each of you (make sure to tell them) ~ they’ll love hearing it!

A recent study  discovered another ingredient in breastmilk that aids infants intestines to safely digest solid foods and beverages in the future.  This “pancreatic secretory trypsin inhibitor (PSTI)” is typically found in the pancreas. In a nutshell, it protects the pancreas from digestive enzymes, as well as, protects mucosal cells against damage and helps speed up their repair.  This study also found PSTI in breast-milk and colostrum (first milk mom’s produce after giving birth). Basically, the study found that PSTI helps prepare and protect a newborns intestines. Read more on this study titled: “Pancreatic Secretory Trypsin Inhibitor Is a Major Motogenic and Protective Factor in Human Breast Milk,” by Tania Marchbank, published in the April 2009 Issue of The American Journal of Physiology: Gastrointestinal & Liver Physiology.  Just another reason to give Nursing a go!

Just a quick note about our products (if you are new to Cuddoozle): Our Infant Nursing Pillows come “standard” with the included Multi-Purpose Mini Booster Pillow. After reading the October issue of “Pregnancy & Newborn Magazine,” I realized in their “Cravings” section they had listed a book that I have read.

It is called “Happy Baby, Happy You” by Karyn Siegel Maier. It is very insightful for parents as it offers at least 500 ways to nurture, pamper and  bond with your baby.  This quick read covers the obvious relationship topics, however, it also discusses diapers, recipes, masssages and whole lot more. The book cost  approximately $11 so it is not an expensive purchase.  It makes a great shower gift as well. I hope you will take a peek at this little gem of a book.

PS -The author has also written another book called “50 Simple Ways To Pamper Your Baby.”

The ABC Kids Expo was a wonderful show for Cuddoozle. We launched our New “Cuddoozle Organic” Covers for all of our pillow products. We also showed our prototypes of New Children’s Baby Clothes and Hooded Towels.  We also were picked up by many new Vendors (retail stores and on-line).  But a few good things began back in July at the 2009 ILCA Show.  We met the owners of ”Mumsfairy Pte Ltd”, distributors of quality products to the Asian market, at this show.  They informed me they were both studying for their Lactation Consultant Certifications and were also distributors of several USA made products in the Asian market.  With this information in hand, along with the extreme interest we received from this region at the ABC Kids Expo, we decided to forge a relationship with Mums Fairy.  We just signed on with them last week and could not be happier.  We know we are in good hands with the personal attention Juliet and her partner give to all their clients.  Thank you and we look forward to doing great business together!

Please read this great article, from my almamater, U of F, and how they detail the wonderful benefits that nursing has for later age moms having their first births. I was one of these moms. I had Amelia at age thirty-six (36) and then had Noella at thirty-nine (39) and turned forty (40) the following month.  I nursed both girls without hesitation and Noella until she was two years old.  I truly feel that nursing my daughters created a truly priceless bond I share with them, but I also hope that it has helped protect my health as well.  Read on and enjoy this article.
